The Tamarack Municipal Association (“TMA”) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Levi Johnson will be the new TMA Community Manager. Many of you may know Levi from his work with the Benefited Units at the TMA or even back to 2005 when he first worked for the resort as the Ski Patrol Training Manager or as the Marina Manager for the original Lake Cascade waterfront operation. Levi had an on-going role at Tamarack from 2005 to 2014 and then rejoined the TMA in 2015 as the BU Manager and has an in-depth knowledge of the TMA, homeowner issues, and the overall resort community. Levi has also been the Guest Services Manager at the Shore Lodge in McCall where he worked with detailed budgets, as the manager of the Whitetail Club member services, and oversaw the fleet of vehicles and vessels at the lodge and marina. Levi lives in Donnelly and holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Recreation from Western State Colorado University, with an emphasis on ski and resort management. This unique blend of past experience at Tamarack, demonstrated leadership, communication skills and proactive attention to detail makes Levi an outstanding selection for the role of TMA Community Manager. Levi will start in this new role when he returns from vacation on April 21st and will be reporting to David Hill, the President of the TMA Board of Directors.
The recruiting process was led by Bev Hellman, Jan Lochtenberg, and Brad Larsen of the TMA Board of Directors and included job postings in over 7 recruiting job sites and publications. The Board received over 15 potential applicants for the position of Community Manager. The interview process included preliminary phone screenings and then in-person interviews with the top candidates. While there were some excellent candidates for the Community Manager position, the board feels confident that Levi will be highly successful in fulfilling the responsibilities of this new position at the TMA.
The Board also wants to recognize the outstanding role that Jan West has played during this interim period since Tim’s departure. Jan has been highly responsive to homeowners and the Board, a stabilizing on-site presence, full of insights and recommendations, and a true professional in her role. Jan will stay on in her Interim role until April 28th, to provide a one-week transition period with Levi, and then will return to her regular position as Security Manager. Mariana Ishida of Replay Resorts has also been fulfilling an interim role of overseeing the finance and administration of the TMA and has done an exceptional job in the transition to the third-party accounting company, DSI; staff transitions; internal communication; and a myriad of other day-to-day tasks required of the TMA. Mariana will be on-site on April 21st to facilitate the on-boarding of Levi in his new role.
