PREVIEW WEEKEND December 3rd and 4th
TIME 10:00am – 3:00pm
Grab your gear and head up to Tamarack Resort this Saturday and Sunday for our Preview Weekend! Favorable weather conditions blanketed the resort with 18 inches of the white stuff in the past 10 days. Plus, Tamarack has the largest snowmaking system in Southwest Idaho. Those two forces combined to give Tamarack the opportunity to offer an early season preview.
The Discovery Chair will be turning from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. on Saturday, December 3, and Sunday, December 4, allowing guests to make some turns on our beginner area. The beginner area will be the only open terrain for this early season event. While we won’t be offering the big mountain experience quite yet, we’re building out some terrain park features into the beginner terrain to keep our more experienced skiers and riders challenged. Season passes will be honored this weekend, while regular tickets for the day will be just $10, and children under 6 ski free.
This weekend is a great opportunity to pick up your season pass prior to the holiday rush. Plus, the resort will have its complete retail selection ready for those looking for holiday gifts. Equipment rentals, lessons and day care will also be available. Hot Shots Café will be open from 8am-11am, the Canoe Grill will be open 11-3pm, Vertical Bar will be open 10am-3pm and Seven Devils Pub will open its bar at 3pm for beverage service (no food service until Dec. 9).

Expanded Terrain Schedule
The resort intends to close Monday through Thursday, and then reopen on Friday, December 9, with 7-days-a-week operations from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. Additionally, our ski school, rental, retail, daycare and dining will be offered in full.
If snowmaking and natural snowfall allow, we hope to open upper mountain terrain accessed from the Tamarack Express or Summit Express on December 9. If conditions do not permit us to open the upper mountain on December 9, the beginner area serviced by the Discovery Chairlift will be the only available terrain. Stay tuned to our snow report for more information.
